After a long and well fought campaign by all 5 Tub Elects, Mr Philip Hedley was voted in as the 2008 Tub at the first public vote in the history of Copshaw Common Riding.
Good luck to Tub Hedley and his Flake Helen-Jane for the 2008 Common Riding and the coming year.
As usual the Tubs Ball was very well attended and a great success, the Committee would like to thank everyone who made the effort to vote, especially some of our Senior Citizens including Jim Rowan,Ronald Ewart and Campbell Rick. Also a big thanks to Lothian and Borders Police for allowing two of their finest to attend but unfortunately we didn`t have time to play our `Knock the Bobbys Helmet Off`` game, hopefully next year.

Thanks again to the Official Adjudicator of the 2008 vote Mr George Gilchrist, George had a hell of a job on his hands, having to count the votes several times as it was so close, at one point there was a distinct smell of burning coming from his mahogany abacus counting machine.
