The 2008 Awards Ceremony was again a great success with Newcastleton Primary School receiving a cheque for £400 which was received on behalf of the School by Christine Reid, as Christine accepted the Award she explained that the money would be used to buy and install a notice board and a bike rack at the School, which would be used to park the bikes of up and coming Tubs.
The second Award of £1000 went to Shelia and Peter Rennie to help with the care of their daughter Emma-Jane.
