Window Dressing Competition

This years Best Dressed Window competition is expected to be the most fiercely fought window dressing competition since the most fiercely fought window dressing competition of 1926.

2006 saw a tremendous entry with numbers competing for this most coveted prize, up  21% on 2005.

Rules for the competition are :-

  • You must provide the window. This can be a house, shop, pub, car, caravan, shed, kiosk (like the one the woman at Asda sits in to take the cash for the petrol....... Bert !! )
  • The widow must be dressed   to the Copshaw Common Riding theme.(this is mandatory -   any deviation and the window will be void)
  • The windows will be judged by The Tub
  • The Tub`s decision is final
  • The winner will be announced on Common Riding Day at the Fountain

So lets see a big effort this year for 2007 Tub Pearson and make it a year for him to remember.

Mrs Thompson gets into the Common Riding spirit decorating her shop window. Mrs Thompson spent 2 days perfecting the window in a bid to take the Best Dressed Window Prize,   "the first 36 hours were the worst" she said "my husband forgot I was there so I didn`t get my evening meal that night and I never slept, thankfully Boom came along at 4.30 the next morning and raised the alarm" Brenda finally finished her masterpiece 3 days later.
